NC or BUST

Dec 29, 2009

We traveled 9 or so hours today, leaving at 6:30 and stopping only 3 times. We made it Greenville, SC and are staying the night. Noah only had one melt down and was in great spirits otherwise. We loaded the truck yesterday and it took us about 4 hours. I was amazed that my husband could be so industrious and pack so well. I sure had my doubts that all would fit on the truck. Anyway we visited friends of the family tonight and spent time with Bill and Tiffany, also meeting their little girl Addison. Who Noah loved. Addison even started calling Drew's mom (Rosemary), Rose Mae Mae. Mae Mae is her grandmother and Rosemary's best friend. It was adorable.

So long, farwell, for now

Dec 27, 2009

We met to say SEE YOU LATER. To Drew's family and it was a good time. It is hard to think that we leave in 2 days. It has been a long time of planning and praying, to know if this was the next step. And so far all has worked out for this direction.

Christmas Again

Dec 26, 2009

We had Christmas one more day. With our family from NY, and Memphis. And later we got to see family from Kansas. It was great to catch up with what has been going on in their lives for the past 2 years. We even have a wedding to go to in July.

Merry Christmas

Dec 25, 2009

Noah slept great and woke up in a wonderful mood. We had a memorable morning sharing breakfast in our Pj's and opening gifts. Noah got into it more this time and really had some cute facial expressions. We (Drew and I) limited the g'parents to 3 gifts for Noah but that of course did not work as they had their own ideas. Some tried to adhere. We just have to find places for all the wonderful toys. Learning toys at that. Very Educational. He really had fun. It was a very Merry Christmas.

Happy Eve

December, 24 2009

We braved the wind after the storm and went to join family. We go every year to be with Drew's dad (Pops) and the Taylor family. We had fun and Noah got to meet all his cousins before he crashed and took a nap.

Canton Lights

Dec 23, 2009

We drove about 45 minutes to nearby Canton to take in the Christmas cheer. It warmed up just enough to get out at night. I guess that is the benefit of living in Mississippi. They decorate the town square with thousands of lights and have lots of events and shopping around. We rode the carousel and the horse and buggy too. It was so much fun. Noah was in AWE of all the things to look at. We had fun with our little man and made some memories along the way.

1st diapers

Dec 23, 2009

It is a blessing and amazing that we have made it this far and have not bought diapers until TODAY. We are so thankful for everyone chipping in and helping us with this. Noah is 6 1/2 months old and just now we made our 1st purchase. UNREAL!!!!!

Our Little Elf

Dec 22, 2009

We had a fun day after three miserable nights. For both Noah and us. He has had that inevitable cold that always comes with winter. We have all had it and must have passed it along to Noah. But today was different. He has felt great and the weather was great and we even got our picture made with Santa. On his lap in the large rocking chair Noah never knew what happened.

6 month shots

Dec 18, 2009

Today we had shots today about 1/2 a month late. Noah weighed 19 lbs. and 14 oz. (BIG BOY I KNOW). and measured 28 in long. He was so active at the Dr. office that he ripped the paper off the patient bed in the room and was talking to all the nurses. Well until they gave him his shots. I had to hold him down and he got 2 at one time and then one more. Dr. Rey said he had excellent lungs and very clean ears (thanks to mommy). We had a bottle ready for him and he was calmed down quite easily. He did bruise on one leg and that in itself made me feel sorry for my little boy. He was pretty much wired the rest of the day, which is very different that he has every reacted before.

We did get to visit with our favorite Aunt Ashley and Uncle Ben. They drove in from Waco. We were so glad to see and eat lunch with them. It had been too long. We picked up right were we left off. Noah even remembered them and was glad to see them.

Jumping and Lunch at Brent's

Dec 16, 2009

Mimi's latest purchase was a Bumper Jumper. Well Noah is getting the hang of it slowly. He basically goes in circles right now. I think that he likes the concept of being suspended. But it will take some practice.

Later we went to one of my favorite places. Brent's Soda Fountain. We had wonderful burgers and fabulous milkshakes. Then Noah pulled a chocolate milkshake right in Aunt Ali's lap and all over the floor.

Happy Birthday Mimi!!!!!

Dec, 12 2009

We celebrated Rosemary's birthday today and took her out to eat all of our favorites' meal. Mexican. Happy birthday Mimi.

New Duds

Dec, 10 2009

We have been busy learning to pull up in the crib. Standing up on my stool and every now and then letting go and falling. Only to cry for a minute. I am just now learning to get up on all fours and start rocking to begin crawling. I am just growing up too fast.

We ended up getting Noah a new car seat because he got so frustrated that he leaned so far back in the other one and just cried all the time. Hopefully the new one will be better on the more than 10 hour car ride to NC. It doesn't seem like we are moving in 2 weeks.

Christmas in Arkansas

Dec 5, 2009

We visited Drew's family in Arkansas for Christmas. We have missed it the past two years and are glad to catch up with everyone's life. We have missed a wedding and seeing our little cousin Stella-grace grow up. She is now walking and expecting a sister. Another cousin is engaged and there is lots going on. Noah of course had to have a new hat for the COLD weekend. Isn't he cute.

Happy 1/2 Birthday to Noah

Dec 3, 2009

I can not believe my son is 6 months old. He is learning all kinds of new things. He now has his bottom two teeth and are working on his top ones. Well I say that due to the amount of slobber that comes from his mouth and how he chews on everything. Including these new jingle bells that Grana bought him.
