Noah and Zubeda

We went to see our friend Fatima. For Noah to meet Zubeda. They both cried when they met each other. Zubeda is now 3 months old. And I can not believe that Noah will be 1 month old on Friday. Zubeda has this really cool hammock thing. It is kinda like the swing we have. Then we got to see Meheq when she got home from school.

Happy Birthday Drew!!!!!

Happy Birthday Drew and David, we are so excited to see Papaw Dae Dae soon.
Only 27 years. I made pancakes this morning for Drew's Birthday. We spent the day taking naps as Noah was asleep. Then we went to a movie. Transformers 2. It was packed, LOUD, but Noah did great in the theater. Drew liked the movie. Afterwards we went to our fav place for pizza and splurged for raspberry cheesecake.

2nd Ped Visit

I am so blessed to have these wonderful guys in my life.

We had our 2nd Ped visit today. Noah has been doing well and actually sleeping a little better at night for 4 to 4 1/2 hours stretches. He was a little gassy one night and reminded Drew and I how lucky we are on the nights he actually does sleep for long periods. At the Dr.s office we learned that Noah has Thrush, in his mouth. So we got some drops to clear that up. It sometimes happens with breastfeeding. He also has baby acne. Another thing that is passed from my hormones through milk to him. It will clear up with time. Dr. Bashir said Noah was eating well and had gained weight to put him at 3.9 kilos (8 1/2lbs.) His head has grown to 38 1/2cm. And he is gaining about 20 gm a day. All in all a healthy boy.

We had to take some photos of Noah is his Ole Miss stuff. He has the cutest socks, pacifier and clip, and jersey shirt. It is a little big, but he just needs his shoulder pads underneath. We are excited to see some games this fall. And take Noah along.

We ate at Java today. It is hard to think that Billy and Bryce are going home today. We hope they had a fun time.

We took the crew to the elephant orphanage today. Noah slept through most of it and ate through the rest. This pic is the one time he was actually close to the elephants. The naked pic is after he finished eating and was happy as a clam. We head to the ped appt on Sat. I am excited to see how much weight he is gaining. He certainly is changing everyday. There are more and more facial expressions to marvel at.

Here are some of the pics from our adventures today. We went to the bead factory and got some gifts. Then we had a great lunch at Amani. We had a Kenyan traffic experience. We were in a jam for about 40 minutes.

Well we have been to the market again. I always end up finding something (that I don't need, as Drew says) to buy. I got a cute new purse, some keychains, earrings, and necklace. It is always fun bargaining (something Drew hates) and getting to know the vendors. "They even know me somehow". This is what they say, it is not exactly correct grammar but it get the point that they recognize me. I do have my favorites. We had a good lunch, and Noah of course did great again. He really likes outings.

Game Drive 2

Today we went on safari outside of Nairobi. We had a good time seeing lots of animals. We had several cats walking in the road in front of the car. We got a good long look at a leopard. Other animals we saw were giraffes, zebras, eland, gazelles, impala, hippos, a crocodile, rhinos, monkeys, warthogs, ostrich,and a several others.
