Trimming the Tree

Nov 27 2013

While Daddy and Pops went adventuring and to see the city.  The boys and I finished decorating the tree.  Let me tell you:
1. it was extremely fun pulling out the ornaments we brought from home.
2. it was extremely fun letting the boys place all the non breakable ornaments on the very bottom limbs.
3. it is extremely stressful for a type A personality (like myself) to let 2 youngins decorate the tree
4. I moved every ornament while they were not looking.

We found the handprints the made when they were babies.

5. I didn't move these ornaments.  They are hung exactly where the boys placed them.
And our finished tree.

Picking out the Tree

Nov 26 2013

We woke up this morning, got dressed and headed to get a Christmas Tree.
After showing Pops all the games on the iPad.
Looking for a tree and cheesing a little bit.
Our rainy day, family, christmas tree pic.
We looked around the store some more.  This is what Noah found.  A pirates' hat.
We got the huge tree home and began the process of putting it together.
This was enough for tonight.  We decided to decorate later.  Bedtime.

Pops is HERE!!!!

Nov 25 2013

Pops got in this afternoon.  Noah got to go to the airport to help pick him up.  And Luke got to sit at home in anticipation and wait for their arrival.
Pops brought gifts too.   These two Supermans were flying all over the place.  They were so happy.
And in the box came sweet gifts for baby sister Anna too.

We have a big week planned with Pops.

They boys had a blast just watching the balloon making.

Being home

Nov 21 2013

There is nothing like coming home to your babies after being away.  I missed this little guy.  And as I suspected after being away from them, they got so attached to Daddy.  He was their life line, their snuggler, their roll around and wrestle partner on the floor,..........

I missed their snuggles most, as I sat on the bus that brought me home.  5 hours and swelling feet, I was ready to see my family.
Luke and I sitting on the balcony "sunning."
Here is a glimpse of what the boys did while I was away.  They had a blast at our favorite park.
 Teaching Erkan baseball.

Ladies in Bolu

Nov 18 2013

These 3 days were a much needed time away for me, and meeting some new friends along the way.

Check out this cute place to stay.
Some fall flavor.
Some çay
And welcome presents.
A fire.
Cozy cabin

And good conversation.

The place is just gorgeous and I had fully prepared myself for cold weather, but God showed out with warm sunshine and pine trees.

Such a great time in His Word.
We had a spa afternoon.
And went into town for some shopping.

Got some great pics of the architecture around the city.

Love this pic of a lady selling veggies

These sweet ladies really loved on me.  Had a blast.
And there were even these sweet 3 german shepherds to play with.  My boys would have loved it.
