Clap your hands. Noah has recently figured out how to do this. It is so funny to see the word come on the screen. (via "Your baby can read") and look over at him clapping away. Here in the video it is the "If you happy and you know it song", in this version they do not even say clap. But I guess he has associated clapping and this tune.
He also has figured out Peek a boo. He does this quite often, I will go around the corner and he intently looks to see if I will poke my head around and say "Peek A Boo." And when I do he just laughs.
Hide and Seek. He does not have this totally figured out but will soon. Today I was letting him have a new snack. And trying to teach him the sign language for more. Which is both of your hands, fingers and thumb togther, coming together as if your fingers were kissing each other. Okay bad description. Anyway google it if you really what to know. But my point is, in the meantime of me trying to teach him the correct sign and switch his foot stomping, grunting, and whinning for more food in to something constructive and usefull in communicating, I hid the snack. Well he searched high and low till he found it. Behind me. So he definitely does not have the concept of out of sight out of mind anymore. He knows it is just hiding.
Amazingly this Cry it Out thing is starting to pay off. IT WORKS!!! Well for us it does. He is sleeping for 9 to 10 hours straight. He seems to soothe himself to sleep, and in the middle of the night I think we are just too tired to get up repeatedly. Thanks to P90X we are beat. I will be so happy when that work out is done. Only on day 60 something.
I am loving watching him grow up and would not trade it for anything in the world. I am blessed to have such a wonderful husband who is willing to support our family, by working, going to school, and leading us spiritually. I makes me think of a statement I heard once. "The Lord equips you for the task that he has for you, there is no way you can equip yourself for His plans." Well that was paraphrased but you get the point.
He is our Bread.
