To Rome

We traveled by train again, train isn't my favorite but without luggage it would be so much easier.
We could see the coliseum in the distance from our apt.
I love the style of the apts here, so much more personality that what we are use too.

We got the kids settled in and we and Babu headed out in the morning for the airport, He headed to MS and us to a meeting.
Luke didn't want to let Babu leave.
I sure will miss my Daddy.

And we got to welcome Mimi,  The kids were so excited to see her.

Low key day in Florence

just my sillies in the closet playing, or morning time entertainment.

We had a slow day after our busy Venice trip, but we of course couldn't forget our Gelato run.
AND............we remembered where there were more swings we had passed.

A little city street humor.  There were lots of variations of this sign.
And a pretty little plant sale in a corridor.
And we found a cool little store.
With a giant pony that Anna had to give a sugar or two.

And we let the kids ride the carousel one more time.

Noah had a blast.

Venice

We boarded the 2 hour train to Venice early in the morning and hoped for an easy ride for what I hoped would be a fantastic day.
Our first sight of the canals.

We got on a water taxi of sorts.  Waterbus and headed to the city center.

I was enamored by how different it was than other places I had seen in Italy.

And I loved all the different architecture.

My boys were so excited about finally being there and watching all the different kinds of boats.
Anna just hung around with Daddy waiting to throw the life preserver if needed.

Bubble Fun.

Laundry time.

I was in love with these type of windows.

Anna was knocking to see if someone was home.

And our daily gelato

I love how Noah's little head is poked around looking at me as Daddy talks quietly to him telling him about the church.  He had so many questions.
Luke praying with Grana

We saw glimpses that fall was coming. Even though it was so hot.

Although Venice is not the most kid friendly city, I really loved it and would love to go back someday........without kids.

sit break

And the kids finally found a playground.  It certainly isn't Turkey.......we hardly ever found play places, and rarely saw kids out.

And that evening at dinner before we headed back to catch our train.

Anna loved the Pizza.
Me and My boys water gazing.
