Boy's school program

June 16 2014

Noah and his class.  We had their end of the year program/performance.
Luke was quite upset and Drew ended up going and getting him off stage.  He just kept crying and yelling for Daddy.  It was quite sad.  But he just doesn't do well with new places and new people.  Especially that don't speak the same language.
Luke's class
Time for Noah's class.

Yep he is a natural.  He loved it on stage.

This is Noah's favorite song.  I have video of him and he makes me play it over and over.
The last song.

They had all the father's come on stage.
Noah about to play the part of the groom for an engagement tradition here.

And somehow they go the American to kiss the bride on stage.  Noah was of course willing.

Happy Father's Day

June 15 2014

We woke up to a beautiful day and were privileged to celebrate our favorite guy.  Daddy as these babies call him:
-The boys always want Daddy and I am getting use to that (as they use to be momma's boys)
-He is their buddy
-He calms Noah down and can always get to the heart of the issue
-He gets up with Luke at night when the little guys is having growing pains in his legs and feet
-He calms Noah down when he's having bad dreams
-He gets up with Anna when I don't hear her the 1st time
-He provides for our family
-He sometimes has the weight of the world on his shoulders
-He plays on the floor with his children
-He teaches in a way I never could
-He stories to these boys in a way that they remember and can retell stories
-He tells our children about Jesus and about God's great love and sacrifice
-He gets my coffee every morning and the boys breakfast
-He is the driver of the family
-He plans our trips
-He takes care of the bills
-He can and does take turns cooking
-He takes the boys to ride their bikes
-He does most if not all the office work
-He makes grocery runs and pharmacy runs and doctor runs
-He folds laundry
-He irons
-He vacuums
-He puts up with all my lofty ideas
-He loves my family
-He gives piggy back rides
-He gives horsey rides
-He teaches them how to throw a football
well I could go on and on but these are just a few of the things lately I have noticed he does well;
Momma forgot to make his favorite cinnamon rolls for breakfast but we did have Cheesecake Sopapillas instead.  It's a dessert but who cares about all that stuff.  We ate it and enjoyed it.

Looking back I am thankful he stayed with me that first night after all of our babies were born in the hospital.........to enjoy our newborns but to help and support me.  So thankful for my Drew.  I suspected but had no idea how great a Father he would be.

And today I am so thankful for my Daddy back home in Mississippi.  He was all things to me growing up and taught me so much.  Most importantly about Jesus.

9th Anniversary

June 11 2014

My husband and I celebrated our 9th year of marriage.  In some ways it seems like it has been such a short time.  I wonder at this point how many years will God let us share together.  What percentage of years this 9 is in the whole of our lives together?  We may look back on this year and think "We were just beginning......we were babies......what a sweet time when we shared our anniversary dinner with our baby girl..........!!!"

We did have a fun night out, and though Anna did get fussy at dinner and we did forget to put a nipple on her bottle, and I had to BF her at the table........under the cover......it was hot......our food did take for ever to get there......because the kitchen 'well there was some sort of problem'..........there was construction going on right next to the garden we sat in...........and it was extremely loud.......

Who will remember those things later.  Not me.

I will remember the chance to celebrate our 9th year in Turkey, over looking the Black Sea on a warm summery afternoon, that we had a sweet friend babysit, that I ate yummy alfredo, and that as Drew and I do every year, we had conversations of what the past years had been like, where will we be next year, and in the next 9 years for that matter.  Would we ever have guess we would be living this life when we met almost 19 years ago.........became best friends 17 years ago..........starting dating 14 years ago..........got engaged 10 years ago.........and have spent 9 years married.  Never in a million years would I have guessed our lives path.  And I am okay with that.  I pretty much prefer it that way.
Me and my almost 6 month old watermelon wearing southern girl.
She played at the table.
She was tuckered out.
And we shared watermelon with the boys.

Firsts with Anna

Look at that smile.
This is one of my dresses when I was a little girl.

1st Ole Miss outfit.
And 1st time for Noah to change her diaper.  He did a great job.

Yep he was pretty proud of himself.
