August 28 2010

We headed out to falls lake to meet with our parent small group. We got to ride on the Robinson's boat. It was way fun, but we came home with such a stinch from the lake. Ewwwwww gross.

Mowing

August 28 2010

Drew spent the morning hanging out with Bryan and letting the boys play. Noah and Asher took turns playing with one toy then switching and over and over again. This is how it ended up. Noah mowed the grass, but mostly the sidewalk.

UPS man came a knocking

August 26 2010

Right as Mommy and I are about to leave for her class, we get a knock at the door. It was the UPS man. We like him too. Mimi sent me clothes, but I wasn't so interested in them......until I found my book at the bottom of the box. It has Pup Pups everywhere, I sat on the floor entertained until it was time to go.

Mommy loved my clothes too. Thanks Mimi, we love you.

This is what I love doing these days, climbing in the dining room chair and sitting there like a big boy.

Just Noah using his FORK for the 1st TIME.

Large Flat Rate

Aug 25 2010

If you have been reading our blog for very long, you know that we love mail. I especially love these new flat rate boxes, where you can send heavy stuff.

Today we got presents from Mississippi, Kenya, and Taiwan. I know what a trio to receive presents from. Grana sent some pears ( that immediately Noah grabbed and carried around saying "Ball, Ball....) from the orchard in Chunky MS, and a cute outfit,....... for Noah.

But Jeremy after the long plane ride back from Taiwan, after spending 6 weeks there learning language (if you want to catch up, his blog is on the side under 'Blogs I follow' it is the only one in Chinese writing) thought of us and sent fun things from his trip. And I finally got the necklaces that I will sell at the craft sale here at Southeastern in November, from Kenya. Thanks again Windy for buying them, Ashley for bringing them home, and Mom for mailing them.

Oh and Noah liked the box.

Happy Feet

August 24 2010

We are discovering the movie Happy Feet, Noah will simply stand in front of the TV and start stomping. He loves watching these birds, he can find them in his picture book, likes when they sing, but loves when they start moving those feet. I caught just a glimpse of Noah dancing.

He just loves that Mumble.

At home sick weekend

Looking at the boy pointing to his nose and doing the same.

Goofing off with Daddy

Dancing to some Sam Cooke while waiting to bake more cookies. I won't bore you with the video.

August 21 2010

We are home sick this weekend. None of us are feeling very well. I think it is the summer cold. Despise these. But we are getting some good time together in. Noah is not up for playing too hard, but has been so inquisitive lately and loves to look at his Little Word Book. He mimicks the pictures, and has started saying the animals names.

Teething and teething and teething

Aug 17-20 2010

Well I feel like a bad blogger but I will attribute that to lack of blog material and exhaustion. This week was a teething terror. We now have two top molars, not all the way through but enough not to be sore anymore (what got us through????); Baby Orajel, Ibuprofen, Momma rocking me at night, Daddy coming home from work at 3 am and relieving Momma.......well you get the picture we are tired.

BUT

Oh yes we have bottom "I" teeth coming in now. All this accompanied by the teething symptoms, (runny nose, diaper rash, irritability,.......and now Noah has a cold, with coughing, and low fever). Now that you are sufficiently feeling sorry for us as parents, or the other option thinking "Suck it up, we all go through it," I will tell you about the rest of our week.

Drew started class on Thursday. Evangelism. Yes he is excited and came home talking all about it. It should really challenge how we live daily, and I started my Biblical Womens' class 'Bibilical Foundations for the Minister's Wife' we go many subjects like
-Theology
-Structure of the SBC
-Spiritual Disciplines
-Women Counseling Women
-Building a Godly Marriage
-Biblical Womanhood
-Women reaching Women
These are just a few, if you want to look for yourself here is the link:
http://www.sebts.edu/student-life/womens-life

I am really excited also, to meet other wives and moms here, and to read up on what Drew has been studying.

Drew and I have really been praying about what is next for us, (after the plus or minus 2 years here) and we are eager to have the Father start preparing our hearts now, making relationships that will last, and developing and stretching our character to look more like him.

Back to Noah:
He is really getting this sign language thing now. I am really impressed that they are just clicking all of a sudden. This week he learned "please", and the correct way to say "more", we are now working on "thank you" and /well I haven't thought that far ahead yet, but I will think of something.

He did say "Juice" on Wednesday for the first time, he says "Moo Moo" when he sees a cow, and we are still working on walking down those stairs. We are still watching 'Your baby can read' and have been working on colors. But overall being a Mom, thought exhausting at times, is the best job. I really love that I have been able to stay home and mold our little son's mind.

Water logged

Taking a water break from the water.

Loving some sprayers, I am about water logged myself.

August 16 2010

This morning I woke up and was feeding Noah breakfast, and all of a sudden a new word comes out of his mouth. "WOOF WOOF" He really is trying to say everything he hears. He was standing in front of the fridge, looking at the pictures of our dogs in MS.

Then later this afternoon, he starts saying "NOSE", followed by pointing at his own nose, my nose, daddy's nose. He surprises me.

We met some friends at the splash spray park, we had a whole slew of kids today. Noah, Kate, Owen, Griffin, Jonathan, Rebecca..... And poor Noah has all kind of pool injuries, I counted today, and the child has 21 little bruises, and 13 scrapes on his legs, knees, feet, hands, and elbows. ALL BOY. I do not like all those Bobos. But Drew said it is normal for boys.

Antiquing it

August 14 2010

I got bored on Saturday afternoon, and begged Drew to go to a couple stores just so I could LOOK. We found a new store that I really love Harvest Moon (RM this one you will like too). And we hit a couple Antique places, I tried to hurry and Drew (being the great Father he is entertained Noah).

"I'll push, Momma."

Aug 13 2010

This has been the scene at the store lately, Noah pitches a fit if I sit him in the buggy and buckle him, instead he wants to push, so we go up and down the aisle with Noah trying to keep his feet moving fast enough to keep up with Momma. I have only dragged him on his belly a couple of times, (in target mostly, but those floors are slick). And goodness knows if I stop to look at something, well he lets me know about it.
