Uncle Pat and Noah

July 30 2011

We spent Saturday at the park visiting with Uncle Patrick. It was so good to see him, and let him meet Luke. We had great weather most the morning, yummy burgers and food, and Noah kept us all busy while he ran around.

Justin and Michelle and Baby

July 29 2011

Our friends drove through from Texas to Alabama. They are always good to stop and see us. It would be great to live near them and share in their lives. Right now especially since they are expecting their 1st baby. And a baby boy. LOVE LOVE spending time them.

No she doesn't look pregnant at all.

Justin getting some practice in.

Grandma Betty

July 29 2011

Luke got to meet one of his two great grandmothers. It was so fun to see Drew's grandma love on Luke.

Yep she's a natural. This is her 14th great grand child.

This was Noah's fun at Grandma's. He sat in this thing and watch PBS for a while. Later he amused himself with getting in and out of it, over and over again.

African gift

The Taylors sent such a sweet gift from Uganda for Luke. Thanks Kathryn for thinking of us and our little guy. Wish we could see you and let him meet you.

This week

July 27 2011

Going from one to two hasn't been as hard as everyone says, well not yet, we will see once I go to the grocery with both of them by myself. Then maybe I will have some stories to tell. But as for now, this is what we have been doing.

Our little guy sleeping, he is a champ at sleeping normally, although we have had a few nights with a hurting tummy.

Our growing Noah is becoming more and more independent. He wants to buckle his own seat belt, put on his own socks and pants (he doesn't always match, but......), and now drink from a big cup. He actually does it pretty well.

Kevin, Courtney, and Miles came over to bring us a meal and to catch up. Noah and Miles became fast friends. It was so fun seeing and hearing from another mother and friend we haven't seen in some time.

We have been walking in the early mornings and afternoons before it gets too hot. Noah has decided he is not up for riding in the stroller, or even being pulled in the wagon by Daddy. He wants to pull it himself.

In other news. Luke found his ear. Maybe in a dream but he held on to it for a while.

Just our normal Sunday after church date at Babu and Grana's house. Lunch. Yummy!!

Legg/Hicks Wedding

July 23 2011

We had the pleasure of congratulating Daniel and Mallory Hicks as a married couple. It was so neat to witness this couples' start. It was such a sweet ceremony and memorable time. It was nice to get to spend time with family too. Pops and Gigi kept Noah and we took Luke to his first wedding.

Luke the Longneck

July 21 2011

Wow July is flying by. Our week has been quiet, at home, getting out routine down. With all the changes that have happened this summer, and will happen the rest of the year we have enjoyed time as a family. We are blessed to have Drew home with us for a time before he starts the internship. But I think Drew is raring to go and start learning. He even seems ready for classes to start back up online and has even started the reading for the classes. He can't stand to sit idol.

Just a cute pic of our little longneck snuggled up. He looks like a little old man here.

Momma and Luke

We had some sweet visitors. Wes and Sherri. They visited us in Kenya when Noah was a newbie, and it was neat to have them here while Luke is new. They are about to move to Dubai. What a journey God has been faithful to lead them on.

Mondays'

July 18 2011

We have been trying to find things for Noah to do during the day to get all his energy out. But LOOK OUT, today he was in charge of the hose, and thoroughly soaked Daddy while washing the car. He didn't actually do much washing, but he did get everything wet.

Daddy teaching some work ethic.

All sudsy.

Mimi came to visit too after work. Just to love on her boys.

2 week check up

My big one, and my littl'one

stretching trying to wake up to eat.

July 18 2011

We went for Luke's two week check up. Everything went well and we again were reassured that we have a healthy baby boy. He is up to 7 lbs. 11 oz.(2 oz. over his birth weight and is at the 23% for weight) is 21 1/4 inches long (That is 1/4 more than he measured 2 weeks ago at birth, 83% for length) and his head measures 14 inches (72% for circumference). And he did great.

Zahra's shower

July 16 2011

Our friend Zahra from Kenya is having a baby, I think I mentioned this before on the blog, but I was so excited to stop by her shower for a hour and celebrate with her. She is doing great and will deliver in Brandon instead of in AL as we thought. This will be such a sweet time of sharing a new life with her. Luke will have a new friend. And age mate.
