Celebrating Mutlu Yillar

Dec 29 2013

At our favorite mall they had a sort of festival/circus/fair type celebration.  We took the boys to check it out.  You had to shop/buy and then turn in your receipts to get tickets.

Momma did all the shopping and they boys were happy to use the tickets.
Very happy.

They had such fun riding the carousel.
And the train.
They rode each thing twice.

In the caboose this time.

Then they had puppet shows, and jugglers, who performed lots of tricks.
They boys were in awe.
They had a real life clock that counted down the time till new years.
We had a starbucks stop. Girl pic.
Guy pic.
And we ate at our favorite place. Shake Shack.  My friend Sibel is always working and has been waiting for me to have Anna.  So today she got to hold her, and the manager even gave us a onsie for Anna that says, "If Crying...........insert Burger"
Luker was being awful sweet to Momma.
Before we left we used our last tickets on Cotton Candy.  It wasn't the best idea since it made nap time a chore when we got home. But it sure was good.

Grana to the Rescue

Dec 28 2013

This morning as we waited for the arrival of Grana later in the day, we got dressed and headed to the dentist.  This was Luke's idea of dressed.  Boots, a big brother shirt, and a diaper.
He did so great at the dentist.   We had practiced at home and he was so good to let the Dr. look in his mouth.
And the moment we had all been waiting for...........Drew and Noah drove to get her from the airport.
They brought her home and Luke was excited to say the least.  And she got to meet sweet Anna.
I breathed a sigh of relief...........now I can nap.

 Love their first picture together.
And the boys sure were happy too to show off their sister.

One week old/ Anna Caroline

Dec 26 2013

My daughter is one week old today.  If she were still in the womb she would be 37 weeks and 4 days.  But I am sure glad she decided to say hello...........

Some of my favorite moments with her are when she is snuggled up close and naps on my shoulder.  She sometimes laughs, squeaks, and sighs while she is asleep.
And often before she sleeps for the night she gets the hiccups for 30 minutes or so, just like she did every night in my belly.  She is most active around 9 to 10 o'clock and I am praying she doesn't become a night owl.  I can tell she is a dreamer.  On the other hand she hardly ever cries unless she is hungry.
Our morning started off like this, she quietly waits for Momma to take a shower and get dressed, as she hangs out in her bouncy chair.
We headed to the Dr. to check her bilirubin levels, for like the umpteenth time.  And they were 17.8. :( So we were admitted for a Phototherapy procedure.  6 hours under the lights and her levels were promised to come down.
She pretty much had a day of napping, those warm lights did the trick.

And Momma pumped today for the first time, and Anna had her first bottle like a pro.  Hoping it doesn't make for a lazy eater later.
After we got home we had an alert baby. Enough napping she was ready to see our faces again.
Well for a little while, that's what babies do right. Eat. Sleep. Poop.

Taylor's Turkey Christmas Day

Dec 25 2013

Can you believe that there are 5 stockings.  For some reason I went ahead and put Anna's stocking up with the boys this year.  Maybe I just knew she would come before Christmas.
Our tree this year.
Daddy reading the story of Jesus' birth.
And now Luke's favorite part.  He has repeatedly tried to grab and rip open gifts in the days leading up to Christmas.........we would just take them before he had fully opened them and put them away.
So finally he gets to see what is inside.
Noah was excited that he could read whose gifts where whose, on the outside of the wrapping.  And when he found one that was his, he would immediately open it.
Taking turns.

Opening a Christmas book from Mimi.

Opening the books from Grandma Taylor.
Stamps.
And the present for longest played with.  The race tracks.

Later in the day they had Jesus' birthday cake.

Anna girl got some camera time.  My little yellow baby.

Sweet little girl feet.
