While in town we were able to see lots of friends. Beginning with Stephanie and Kenzie. It was good to catch up and for Noah to see another kid. He certainly loved her toys.

Sad Morning

July 29 2010

We went to meet a friend and some playmates at the park but never got to meet them. We were able to swing a little while (note this is the last pic before this little face is hurt) and while we are sitting eating bluberries, Noah reaches to say hey to a lady and falls right head first into the concrete. His baseball size knot on his head and scrapes all down his face with his mouth bleeding sent us straight back to Dr. Rey's office. We just went for our well visit on Monday.

I cried as much as Noah did. My heart hurt for him. Everything checked out and we will watch him for the next 6 hours but this is not my favorite part of having a boy.

We soon went to see Mimi and Aunt Ali. Mimi assured me that these things happen and that I wasn't a bad mother. I just wish I could go back and keep my eyes on him at that moment. It only takes a split second.

Madison loves Cheerios

July 28 2010

Just a glimpse of our day. Noah got up at 4:40a.m. and decided it was time to get up. So we did and then at 7:30 a.m. he was ready for a nap.

We were trying to find things to do since we played with all his toys early that morning and he was not interested. So I put a video in and got him some juice and cheerios. I look over later and this is what I find.

His favorite word right now is WHOA!!!!! So this is the response to everything. He must think that WHOA is the dogs name or something.

I am needing some help with discipline, today like yesterday it rained and Noah could not understand why he could not play in the rain like yesterday??? He pitched one big fit.

We both miss Daddy so much and are ready for Friday to come so we can see him. Hurry up and fly here already.

OH BTW

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BABU AND GRANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Soaking Rain

Caught in the rain

Diaper is getting saggy

Just me and my crocs

July 27 2010

Only in Mississippi is there a season of thunderstorms everyday around the same time. 2ish. I think it has to do with the intense humidity. But nevertheless, we were headed outside after our 2 1/2 hour nap while the wind was blowing and it was starting to cool off. It was about to rain, but we did not make it out in time. So I just let Noah play in the rain instead.

July 26 2010

We had lots of fun at Pops house. He has lots of stairs, and someone else besides Mom always helps me climb them. The brick ones are kinda scary but the carpeted ones are way fun. I really liked riding the elephant too.

July 24 2010

The morning of the wedding we took in a little Memphis culture. Memphis Farmers' Market downtown and Gus's Fried chicken. The market had all kinds of vegetables, flowers, honey, soaps, entertainment, samples of local food, and even complimentary dog sitting while you shopped. But boy was it hot. I seem to visit the Farmer's market everywhere I go as I look back at my blog. But here we are again.

Then on to Gus's Fried chicken. Uncle Frank made a good decision in picking this place. It had a juke box, vinyl table cloths, and was packed. Really good fried dill pickle spears too.
